As I predicted some months ago on this thread -- we are now seeing the beginning of the end for the Canadian mining industry. biz.yahoo.com
As precious metals prices fall to the $250 area, we will see many notices like this. Most of the Canadians are high cost producers and they'll have little choice in the matter. The S. Africans have the capital behind them to keep producing and would have nearly insurmountable start-up problems if they ever shut down.

The desert dirt stocks are all within 30% of their December '96 prices, while the rest of the world's mining issues are near all-time lows. The only way any of the Cdn. explorers will be able to exist will be to come down to AZ & NV and get in on the staking race that is just beginning. Many of these won't have the capital to keep it all together until they can solve the extraction problems.

No matter what losses you have in your Cdn. juniors -- now is the time to dump them and put the money into IPM. Bookmark this page and re-visit it next Xmas.
