Correct, it isn’t piping hot. My main dislike is it creates a big mess so everything goes in the sink to get rinsed off. If you want another cup or you have company it keeps you busy. Plus, you need special coffee. The upside is done right it makes perfect coffee - ten times better than Starbucks.
