We will NEVER get a handle on the overall cost of health care unless we talk with one voice. The only way we talk with one voice is with single payer. Otherwise republicans and democrats will be pushing whatever it is their constituents want - they will listen to insurance companies and/or pharmaceutical companies and cost will continue to climb. The cost have climbed under every administration and no real attempt has been done to work on that problem.

The idiocy that cost will go down if we offer cheaper health care insurance ideas is so wrong headed. The cheap plans only offer to pay less of your bill - higher deductibles and fewer things covered. ............And prices continue to go up.
