Strange bug I had this morning on my video editing laptop. I put it to sleep every night and this morning I entered my password and all I got were beeps, the keyboard would not work. I was able to get into Windows using the onscreen keyboard at login to enter my password, and once in Windows 7 I tried typing but every key beeped. I called tech support they said it was a stuck key, but I didn't think so.

I Googled it and found no solution, my machine is a Toshiba Qosmio X870 5 years old.

I remembered one conversation I had with tech support years ago where I was to unplug the power to the computer, that means taking out the battery and disconnecting it from A/C. So I did that.

Let it sit 60 seconds. Plugged it back in and it works. Tried putting it to sleep a number of times no problem with they key board. Keyboard works perfect. Not sure if this is a temporary fix or a permanent one. Will monitor the computer.
