While nearly 200K shares traded after hours today, the move looks highly suspect at this time. The after hours activity began precisely at 4:30EDT, and less than 3K shares moved the price to 92, after which the price remained tightly constrained but skewed to the downside.

I've been unable to find any legitimate news that would explain this move, and highly doubt this is leaked information.

It seems more likely that this is (1) an index fund that found a basket error and needed to rebalance prior to tomorrow's open, or (2) a buying campaign by sellers to generate some demand for the stock.

Investors who have stepped aside should be on the lookout for any news before market open regarding a long term supply deal. If such news is released by WDC, that returns them to the previous status quo, repurchase at the open would be in order.

Absent news, is another excellent opportunity to exit, for those who have not yet stepped aside.
