I beg to differ.


You can define "Medicare" in such a way that it works. To do so, it is necessary to say, "We don't really care what kind of fiscal disaster we leave for our future generations and we are okay with insanely higher costs of health care for younger families today, and the fact that there will be no Medicare for them when they're our age.

So, yes, under the definition it works.

To me it is among the worst things a generation can do to its offspring (i.e., to rob them of their wealth so we have easier lives), but people have to make that decision for themselves.
