I agree we should be skeptical of the Japanese press, but some kind of compromise has always been the most likely outcome of this process. Toshiba needs to complete the sale of its business by next March to avoid delisting, and WD has strong incentive to avoid rolling the dice in arbitration. I'd expect any compromise to include some form of stronger protection against SK Hynix having any ability to access the JV IP, this should alleviate the concern from WD.
