At a birthday party for a local rich kid, when I was 10 or 11, we kids were shuttled off to a movie to get us all out of the house, as a last minute idea, I think. It was Period of Adjustment - completely over our heads. imdb.com What I remember was the new husband was on the phone with his wife trying to break the news about what kind of a car he just got. From somewhere in the theater, right before the actor says it, this guy booms out, "A HEARSE!" I'm not sure I even knew what that was, but I can hear it clear as a bell to this day.
