There are two waysthe Asian financial crisis spreads here

The slow way: Asian economies are at least a third of the worlds economy. They are slowing down and not buying goods and will not be buying goods for some time. This will gradually impact all economies. In fact it starting impacting them in OCtober. Most conservative economists believe GDP will shrink by at least 1% in the US. Expect much more because those Asian economies are going to try to export their way out of this mess. Its already happening. Did you hear the Corning announcement today?

The fast way: The Nikkei goes below 14000 and the defaults start. In a defaulting environment the international fiancial system will come apart in a hurry.
