Yes Bain's money is every bit as good as WDC's. But there are still legal entanglements if Toshiba leaves WDC behind, and as you have said many times, once something goes to a court of law or an arbitration panel, anything can happen. Why take that risk? And Toshiba and Sandisk know each other, kind of like a long marriage with ups and downs
