I'd prefer we go back to the way the US was pre-Reagan. Raise taxes to pay for spending. No tax cuts, no debt, always have balanced budgets unless the economy collapses or World Wars etc. What we have now is unsustainable. When Democrats stop raising the debt ceiling the US will collapse. Then what?
