Again, I'm not sure if coding can helps my research but I'll get it a chance. I think the secret of value investing lies in the hard work (reading, reading and reading). I doubt that good results can be obtained only by working with standardized data. IMO, to find good value ideas, we need to understand a company, it's accounting, it's industry, etc.
Finally, I think advfn have changed something because I can't copy/past my screener's results in excel anymore. That's the reason I try to scrape from this site. My second idea is to create a code for comparing and "printing" the difference in 10-Q's and 10-K's. I know we can already do this with Word but my laptop is a dinosaure and bugs when I compare big documents. Buying a new pc ? No way, all my money is for my compounding machine. :)
