Perhaps. But let's look at the facts.

Republicans spent seven years lying about a better replacement plan to the ACA. No one in that party asked to see the plan. Not fox, not talk radio, not republican congressmen or senators, not voters.

Republicans lied about death panels in the ACA.

Trump lied about Obama being born in Kenya (for five years).

Bush lied about WMDs (98% of his pre-war intelligence came from one dissident named Curveball and no one in the intelligence agencies bothered to talk to him).

Bush authorized the CIA to commit torture - a war crime.

Bush authorized the CIA to put prisoners of war in secret prisons around the world. SCOTUS let him do it.

Republicans call themselves conservatives but don't conserve anything,

A "fiscal conservative" doesn't balance the budget. He cut taxes for rich people and creates massive debt.

I could go on all day but behind all these issues is the need to lie. Every single republican is forced to lie to himself and others about the crimes his party committed.
