That is exactly right on. Republicans do not recognize the importance of modern social science that allows societies to run in the most efficient manner for the benefit of everyone. A strong egalitarian society is good for everyone, including the rich. A free strong public school system means less crime, and poverty and more productivity. When society does well everyone does well. Republicans have this crazy notion that unfettered capitalism is all one needs. They never ever recognize the importance of applying modern social science to social problems.
