I have met Trump one time. I will not make it an essay. I was working in an IT consulting firm for a different financial “celebrity” at a “Wealth and Real-estate” expo in Manhattan.

My job was to make sure booths were setup with internet connections to sell the products of my client through their e-commerce site that I had helped to build.

I was back stage when Trump arrived, he walked in and support staff were instructed to leave the area, but because I was actively doing something for my client I got to stay. His handlers came in and told me not to make eye contact, not to approach him and to smile whenever he posed for pictures with the photographer he brought with him.

His handler said, and I quote, “He only shakes hands with other speakers, you will not approach him or speak to him. You will not photograph or record this in any way.”

He then came into the back stage while the cleaning crew was still moving boxes and other items from the back stage area and he said, “Why are the workers still here, why weren’t they ready for me? Make sure they are gone for the camera shots”.

I was then shuffled out, with many others, to make his back-stage photos perfect.
