Well lady luck was with me on my recent move to IB for my Aussie trading. When I opened the account last week I had to transfer some cash from ICBC and that took couple days , I also sold all my Aussie positions that I held with CIBC thinking I would just buy them back thru IB . Hit a snag and after three days of trying to get a trade thru I found out I had to first buy AUD funds thru IB and then wait two days for that transaction to clear before I could make a buy on the ASX . I still have one more day to wait but as a result I sold all my ASX positions just before this correction and will be all set to do some shopping on the ASX at the open tonight. The little hitch saved me riding out more than a 20% correction over my three holdings ARV KAI DEG. Sometimes its good to be lucky.
