Koan, I have never read The Axe Makers Gift - but I really like James Burke the author.... Burke has an inspiring magical way of tying disparate and seemingly insignificant events in history to a spectacular conclusion. Theres a few hours of The Axe Makers Gift on Youtube. If you like that - you should watch the fantastic BBC series by Burke called "Connections" Theres about 20 episodes... youtube.com

This is a perfect example of thought provoking, online education that a University could NEVER give

Burke is 80 now.... but these important programs you appreciate so much will live on forever....on the Internet
