It's a true statement, but it's not my experience with them.

Almost always, I find their prices to either be competitive or
significantly better than other suppliers. I always opt for free
shipping, and they give me 2-3 day service more than 90%
of the time even though they advise it will take 7 - 10 business
days.

Friday, Best Buy significantly exceeded my expectations. I'd bought
a Samsung 55" series 6 4K TV for $1000 on Oct 11th. I then purchased
a 4K PVR from 2001AudioVideo (the only place still selling "Rogers" PVRs).

About a week ago I bought a 4K capable Denon Home Theater system as
my existing system was capping the resolution to the TV at HD (1980x1060). For Black
Friday, BestBuy lowered the price on both the Denon ($50) and the TV by $250.
As the Denon was still within the Price Protection period, but the TV was 2
weeks past it, I went in to get my $56.50(with the sales tax) and mentioned my
disappointment with the TV not expecting I'd even get her sympathy.

What I got was $56.50 credited to my MasterCard and $280 on a Best Buy gift card.
If I hadn't bought the Denon, I wouldn't have even tried to get anything back on the
TV. Without me asking, the Best Buy service rep initiated and gave me the store credit
for it.

Guess who's going to be my first, second and third choice for buying stuff going forward.
