The former issue really shouldn't matter. If you think they are inaccurate, the data is pretty widely available to check. That site was easy to find and presented it in an easy to read from so I used it. In any case the point isn't so much the specific numbers (but I do think those are accurate) as much as the fact that spending greatly increase during that time which accounts for the increased deficits and extra debt.

As for the ads, I didn't see any but they probably got caught by my ad blocker
