62% Upside Volume on the NYSE - 62% Downside Volume on the NASDAQ:

Wow, major rotation out of tech today and semiconductors in particular. Almost 10% New Highs of issues on the NYSE. Not at all a market topping indication there. Just major rotation. As long as the yield curve remains well above being inverted I see little danger of an overall bear market. Keep in mind though that even though we are in the second longest bull market ever... the SOX has had some very nasty corrections during this bull market. What's ahead for the SOX? Time will tell. But the SOX does end up leading the market both directions. Just not an immediately noticeable relationship all the time. RtS

*Primary market NYSE, NYSE American or NYSE Arca only. †Compares the ratio of advancing to declining issues with the ratio of volume of shares rising and falling. Arms Index or TRIN = (advancing issues / declining issues) / (composite volume of advancing issues / composite volume of declining issues.) Generally, an Arms of less than 1.00 indicates buying demand; above 1.00 indicates selling pressure.
