Hi Tim,

absolutetly spending always increases over time........The USA yearly budget expanded by several thousand
percent due to WWII. it truly worried President Truman, and there were strikes for higher wages across all
industries in 1946, as the years of belt tightening and the national consensus for shared sacrifice was over.

And you know what the US made out just fine. Economists predicted a massive depression in 1949 due
to the lack of demand with the cessation of the massive global output of materials for he global war effort.

However this did not happen. So finance, Macroeconomics..... manias and" dinosaur derivatives"
(see my Wiley book reference from a few days ago)are
all very nuanced and philosophical...and a little mystical in nature.
