Delbert, I mentioned to my wife that you said you are interested in information regarding evidence of the Flood. She, gracious HOH lady that she is, spent a few minutes to find three books on the subject that she has read, which are in her collection.

They are: The Genesis Flood (subtitle: The Biblical Record and its Scientific Implications). Authors: John C. Whitcomb and Henry M. Morris. The copy she has was published by Baker Book House.

The Genesis Flood is the one she recommends the most highly.
Chapter 5 of the Genesis Flood is the chapter on modern geology and the deluge.

Two others she has, which deal with that subject, though not exclusively, are:
(1)Scientific Creationism, by Henry Morris

(2)The Biblical Basis for Modern Science, by Morris

I became convinced, beyond a shadow of doubt, after reading the book, The Flood, (subtitle: In the light of the Bible, geology and archeology) author/ compiler: Alfred M. Rehwinkel, Concordia Publishing House. I do have a copy of that one, which I must have picked up sometime around 1979, because this copy is the seventeenth printing, dated 1978.

I haven't read any of my wife's books on the subject, because my curiosity was satisfied with the one book. But the books she has, especially the Genesis Flood, are much more recent and extensive in coverage of the subject.

You seemed, in one of your messages, to be expressing skepticism in advance of examination, making some reference to "my evangelical friends" or something like that. That is one reason I wondered if you were really sincere.

But if you are merely expressing curiousity in the credentials of the authors: The books have extensive documentation/bibliographies, so you can check their sources yourself if you want to.

The book, Scientific Creationism, was a cooperative project and the contributors to THAT book are listed. The contributors include:
Thomas G. Barnes, D.Sc., Professor of Physics, University of Texas, El Paso

Edward Blick, Ph.D., Professor of Aerospace, Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, University of Oklahoma, Norman

Richard Bliss, M.S., Science Consultant, Unified School District #1, Racine, Wisconsin

David R. Boylan, Ph.D., Dean, College of Engineering, Iowa State University, Ames.

Larry Butler, Ph.D., Professor of Biochemistry, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana

Kenneth B. Cumming, Ph.D. Research Biologist, U.S. Consultants Fisheries Service, LaCrosse, Wisconsin

Malcolm Cutchins, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama

Robert H. Franks, M.D. Professor of Biological Sciences, Christian Heritage College, San Diego

Donald Hamann, Ph.D., Professor of Food Technology, North Carolina State University, Raleigh

Charles W. Harrison, Jr., Ph.D., President, General Electro-Magnetics Corporation, Albuquerque

Harold R. Henry, Ph.D., Chairman, Department of Civil and Mining Engineering, University of Alabama

John R. Meyer, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, University of Louisville, Kentucky

John N. Moore, Ed.D., Professor of Natural Science, Michigan State University, East Lansing

Robert Olson, M.Ed., Science Teacher, San Diego City Schools, California

.... and a dozen or so others.

John
