Where are you getting this absolutist logic. Multi-billion dollar companies don't operate on an either or basis. They do Corba, Java, and MSFT technologies, but the bulk of the money is going into MSFT stuff.

<Tell me your source and the relevance for this statistic. It seems completely preposterous. The last time I visited the tech bookstores in downtown SF, they had taken mass quantities of ActiveX and COM books back off the shelves and replaced them with more Java/Corba books. Due to lack of demand for the MSFT knowledge, I presume.>

I never said librarians who don't visit Borders, WaldenBooks, and Barnes and Noble spend more money on MSFT technology, its the financial corporations that are doing so. If you want to perform a query, simply go straight to the source and ask them. All of the accomplished financial developers that I know don't have time to read books.
