I am an engineer, and we're certainly guilty of this upon occasion. On the other hand, there are a few strange people who might really want those modems, probably because they would rather buy ISDN, but it isn't available to them because of their location or local tarriff issues. But, yes, like you I thought that both the modem manufacturer (was is DIMD or ZOOM? I can't remember...) and ASND went overboard in splashing it, and that few units would sell. "...in a discussion over on the ASND thread..." I've given up on the ASND thread, as having too much useless traffic, especially that strange daytrader "anybody got a quote... it's 22 1/2" chatter. Not interesting chatter like we have on this thread. of the various ASND threads, I'm only reading the "ASND News Only" thread now. Dick
