That can't possibly be the transaction cost. Don't confuse the mining cost with the transaction cost. Giving 1 bitcoin to somebody else doesn't cost the receiver and sender 7% to 20%. But I have not checked the actual cost for a few years. At the initial appearance of bitcoin I was excited as it was comparable to my plans. But after a short examination I decided it could not succeed due to energy cost and inefficiency. A bad design does not win in the long run Though I admit to using english and imperial weights measures and £ s d for decades. Sometimes ineffficient things have enough going for them to win for a long time in the absence of a better way. Mqurice
