At Thursday night's annual Christmas tree lighting at the White House, the president recounted the birth of Jesus by saying it "begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son." .... Now this isn't a big thing. He didn't knowingly or consciously make a heretical statement there. He just honestly doesn't know much about a whole lot of things ... history, the Bible, the religious faith he claims to believe in. So he doesn't know about the Virgin Birth. But if you tell him Christians believe Jesus was born of a virgin, he'll say sure, I believe that too. All you have to do is inform him.
