Americans are starting to fail at what they used to be good at, because they are unfocused and overstretched. I take your point about being overextended but I think your focus is wildly disproportionate. The level of effort required to fix all the problems you mention is humongous. The level of effort to just stop overgeneralizing and badmouthing Muslims is negligible, even time saving. Look at the crap that wastes our collective time and energy. If you are looking for ways to reduce overstretch and free up resources, there are many, many fatter targets than Muslims.
