You are right of course.

I just got lucky, and got one of the 2% of the NASDAQ trades that actually cross customers. Just happened to hit the right MM.

NASDAQ no doubt is the biggest part of the problem. All you have to do is study the prices of stocks that move from NASDAQ to NYSE or AMAX. Prices and volitility drop within a month. The price may eventually recover and resume its growth if warranted, but volitility stays down.

I prefer to trade NYSE stocks. I'd rather trade options on OTC stocks than the stocks themselves - at least the orders go to a real exchange. If I want a NASDAQ stock, I would prefer to just short the puts until I get assigned..
