I want the republican party to be replaced with a functioning party - a party that can raise taxes, raise the debt ceiling, work with presidents from both parties etc.

The gop can't govern. They're on their 12th month and are still trying to figure out how to give away money we don't have using the euphemism tax cut. They admit their tax cut will create massive debt and they don't care. It's how "fiscal conservatism" became a laughing stock across the globe.
