You know I think there was something unusual about one of the November Windows updates because something totally messed up my one of my printers that I had to uninstall and totally reinstall all the drivers etc. A friend of mine reported resolution on his monitor was messed up and he couldn't set it up for the proper high-resolution, he too reverted to ripping out and reinstalling the driver, which fixed the problem. No doubt it's hard to pinpoint exactly what because these things are circumstantial but everything points to an update.
