I knew (sort of) that it protected versus various strains of the FLU, but the didn't realize all the designations such as mode of transmission etc. I was referring to the possibility that the mutated strains don't match with the vaccine creations (occasionally) and thus we still may get the flu..


"Vaccination can only be effective against the strains of the virus that match the vaccine so every year scientists predict and prepare an appropriate vaccine because the virus can mutate or change its structure."

They wasn't aware of the type they gave me, but I was in Walgreens and thought, "I'd really like someone to stick a needle in my deltoid" so...
