They just held a press conference and said that they are predicting the highest danger and the worst conditions the area has ever suffered in the next couple days. Santa Ana winds are predicted to reach 80 miles an hour. They have an index that they go by with 150 being extremely dangerous. They have put the index tonight at 276, which is just about off the scale. It's never been that high.

Two of the fires are still out of control with 0% containment. The Getty fire is only 5% contained.

30 horses were killed in the Creek fire and several others severely burned.

50,000 people have been evacuated. All of the animal shelters are full.

Still no power in several communities up north. Water supply is compromised because of all the debris falling in the reservoirs.

Otherwise the weather is just lovely.
