Although not a Christian Fundamentalist or a member of the Religious Right, here's how I see this after many years of experience and personal reflection:

Lawyers of the secular (aka atheist) left lack the underlying moral & ethical foundation, without which it's not possible to understand and abide by the laws of men OR the laws of God. Moreover? The two cannot be separated. When they are? No evil is too great for the secular left to embrace because they're blinded to that evil by their conscious choice of spiritual darkness.
