Rocket Red,

the mine has been a disaster only hope left is maybe find something new

Agree with you on that.... yes a disaster, due mainly to water issues. IMHO a lot of it was Rob Washer's stubbourness not to to raise funds when required, trying to operate the mine on a shoestring budget and keeping shareholder dilution to a minimum. Hindsight.

You are referring to the "disaster" that were the previous operations at the Cabo de Hornos underground mine located at the Zaruma Project. They company has already moved to new mining operations some 180 km by road to the south.

Keith Piggott and his management team have re-directed mining efforts to the Dynasty Goldfields and open pit mining. The company is using the mill at Portovelo to process the material being transported in from DGF by 30 tonne trucks.

Completely different company and operations now.

If Keith Piggott eventually decides to attempt mining at the Cabo De Hornos underground again, there are over 7.5 km of decline and drifting in place that have exposed some of the high grade veins at lower levels. When I spoke with Keith at PDAC back in March, there was some discussion of eventually getting back to Cabo, but a new approach to ground water management issues needed to be addressed first.
