Thanks, but I'm sure I'll be fine. Prostate cancer caught early doesn't usually kill people, at least not quickly. I'm not freaked out about it but I am pissed. If push comes to shove I can maintain the scheduled date. But it makes for a very complicated problem.

I talked with CTCA last night and they think they may be able to get BCBS to pay for me to come there. They say they can handle it in a short period of time. But you also feel like you're getting a sales job from them.

Interestingly, from reading the reviews of CTCA, it appears they don't consistently treat Medicare or Medicaid patients, since oncologists lose money on them. But you could be on Medicare as a working-aged beneficiary and your regular insurance would be liable, so they will take those. Luckily, I'm not Medicare aged. (I may be before I get this bullshit handled).

ACA is a disaster in every respect. But it was never about providing better care. Democrats hoped care would improve, assumed it would, but the real motivating factor IMO was votes.
