I agree with you that Trump couldn't give two shits about Political Correctness. I applaud him for that. But there is a difference between flouting political correctness and being smart. Exactly why in this current moment would he find it necessary to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem and ratify Israel assertion that Jerusalem is their capital? Why now? What exactly does the US have to gain from that?

If you ask my personal opinion on who has a claim to Jerusalem, I will tell you that probably the Israelis have the best claim, but in point of fact, Jerusalem has been fought over for thousands of years by Christians, Jews, and Muslims. So the BEST solution is to make it an UN Protectorate. From a purely practical stand point, it is a flashpoint. From the US' perspective, there is nothing to be gained by ratifying that place as Israel's capital.

You tell me. What did American citizens gain from Trump's action on Jerusalem? I don't see any benefit at all, but I do see 1.5 Billion manifest threats, called Muslims, to US citizens.
