The media is owned by corporations and corporations exist for only one purpose and that's to make as much money as possible. News doesn't have to be true (WMDs, tax cuts, balanced budget, Clinton emails, lies about death panels, Whitewater, Kenya). The media only needs cheap stories (tweets and leaks) and none of it has to be true.

Fox news and talk radio lie every single day. They have talk shows that masquerade as news shows. The pollsters call opinion shows news and poll them as if they are the same. Intelligent people see this for what it is, not a conspiracy but instead the destruction of truth so one party can destroy democracy in the US and around the world.

How many reporters called Bush a liar after he lied about WMDs? None. But Clinton is called a liar because of a bj and Obama is called a liar because his health care plan wasn't exactly what he wanted. Lying about tax cuts, debt and wars are all okay because they add value to the bottom line. There's no magic formula for success in news or politics. The best liars win and republicans are the best liars.

Where are their balanced budgets? This one question destroys every republican argument. Therefore, it must never be asked.
