Stop blaming Donald Trump for his economic and foreign policy positions and start blaming the opposition for not providing an alternative. Donald Trump got elected because the Blue collar vote in MI, WI, and PA thought he offered more hope to their dire employment situation than the Democrats did, in particular, Hillary Clinton. Why is it so hard for the mainstream Democrats to figure that out? Is it because ultimately they are not all that different from Donald Trump to begin with? Survey after survey states that the majority of Americans want single payer universal healthcare. So, why does this country not have single payer? Answer: Most Democrats don't support single payer. Solution: Nominate someone who is firmly committed to single payer.
