Remember my use of the word unholy was a quote of Jesus to his disciples.

Matthew 7: 6 “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

Clearly he thought we should be able to recognize unholy people or he wouldn't have said that. I guess Jesus is on thin ice?

You realize that NONE of this "Don't judge Trump" stuff has ever been applied to Obama or Hillary by their critics. It's only on Trump's behalf this perversion of Jesus' teaching is trotted out.

And I'm not saying we should judge Trump and damn his soul to hell. Not our call and not what this is about. God can judge his soul. What I'm saying we should recognize he's not clearly not morally fit to be trusted with a responsible national position.

Here on earth we have to make assessments of people all the time. On jury duty, when hiring employees, when deciding to apply for a firm, when choosing partners and friends, when deciding who to marry, and many many other occasions. One of those occasions is choosing a President. We have to make moral assessments of people all the time and we shouldn't think Jesus disapproves of doing that. Or he wouldn't have said what he said above.

"Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you."

That passage reminds me of how Jeff Sessions almost singlehandedly vouched for Trump's conservatism during the campaign. He was a key to Trump getting the nomination. And after less than a year in office, Trump publicly humiliated Session over his quite appropriate recusal.
