That is the whole point of the tax "reform". The idea is to bankrupt the gov and then in a few years claim that the gov is going broke so we MUST reform entitlements.
Government is already going broke. We only hear about every two years when the debt ceiling approaches.

Obama already affirmed Cheney's infamous quote, "Deficits don't matter." $580B in Obama's final year in office despite a "booming economy" and no huge war to fight.

Meanwhile entitlements continue to grow, both in absolute dollars and in percentage of government spending.

Trust me, government going broke won't give the Republicans any power to reform entitlements.
