The money that supposedly is earmarked for entitlements like SS and MC, where has it been going?
Where it should be going all along.

Only problem is that when SS was taking in more money than it was spending, that "surplus" was always deducted from the overall deficit, even though it should never have been.

Now that SS is spending more money than it's taking in, it's finally being reflected in the overall deficit.

It's the same result, though. Entitlement spending is growing both in absolute dollars and in percentage of overall spending. That's not a sustainable course. Entitlement reform eventually has to take place.
