Anyer,

Thanks for the informative response. From here, I'll follow CHAR more closely and possibly HHLAF as well for some clues as to where our little AIPN may end up in case it delivers the number of barrels that many of us have speculated and believed we have.

When comparing the two,

CHAR with 50% ownership of roughly 500,000 acre concession in Western Kasakstan (1/10 the size of AIPC's), 127 million barrels of oil reserve (is this still potential or proved reserve already? I believed you said they haven't drilled, yet), roughly 47 million shares outstanding with the stock price of $2 11/16

Versus

AIPC that has 70% ownership of the 4.7 million acre concession in Western Kasakstan, minimum potential reserve of 1.1 billion barrels of oil, same number of shares with its stock last traded at 4 1/8 at the close of business day, 1/09/97

it makes me wonder if CHAR is already overvalued at this level or AIPC is just not good in telling its side of the story. Better yet what if CHAR is still way undervalued based on its potential. From here moving forward, I can only agree with you that both stocks will make interesting watch as their stories unfold.

Meantime, as Wavetech and the two other seismic companies hired by AIPC confirm a closer possibility of the potential reserve #s as speculated in the next couple of weeks, anybody who is long the stock could only wonder where the price could go from here. Huh!

sycamore hoping to see a landbased workover rig soon.
