Well, you make good points. As I said in a previous post on Jerusalem, though, I agree with the general direction, but wish we would have received something more tangible for the US out of using such a potent bargaining chip. As for NK, I think we may have no choice but to go to ware with NK. It's a devil's choice between hundreds of thousands dead in a pre-emptive ware or potentially tens of millions of Americans dead in a nuclear war. I'd choose the former. However, there must be a third way. Can no one of the many big brains in this country come up with a better solution to this? We seem to be marching to war with NK with no breaks to take a deep breath. That is unnerving. The US will not be unscathed by a war with NK. It will be the most calamitous war you and I will have ever lived through and if it happens, we'll both wish to God that the US would have found a different way. It will be the worst war since WWII and it could very well trigger WWIII, since I will bet you my house and retirement that Russian and China will get engaged in a hot war over NK, if we attack. The world would be lucky as hell to escape a nuclear conflagration, if we engaged in a war that starts out as a conventional war with NK. Mark my words. If that doesn't scare you, then I don't know what would.
BTW, I'm not totally against Trump. I think he's done some good things and I love the fact that he seems to awaken many Americans out of their torpor and completely exposed the FBI for the partisan, KGB style political manipulations they have been engaged in to protect Hillary and derail a fairly elected President. Hell, I voted for Trump. But I don't have to like everything he does. I honestly, I hate some of the stuff he does, but even now, I would never have voted for Hillary and I would vote for Trump again....I don't believe in abstention from votes. |
