The other day, Ammo (my 14) said,"Why do you think it sounds so different to say, 'You will have a few problems,' from 'You will have few problems.' Doesn't "few" mean the same thing?" There was a pause and then he said--"Maybe it's like the glass that's either half-full or half- empty". I thought that was an interesting observation. Is it a perceptual difference or is there an actual change in meaning?

Then he said (We were driving during all this)," I wonder if they call the highways 'interstates'in Hawaii." (Pause) "Or 'interprovinces'in Canada."

I love kids.
