Hatch Denies Corker Pushed Real Estate Tax Provision That Could Benefit Him Financially

In a Monday letter, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) conveyed his disgust with press reports, which he said implied Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) pushed for the conference committee to include a controversial real estate deduction in Republicans' tax bill.

Hatch called that implication, as well as a suggestion that the provision was “air-dropped” into the conference, “categorically false.”
