Those I speak with in China ask why the US supports countries like Russia and China who deny basic human rights to their citizens. To those in Russia, I tell them they have democracy and it's their job to vote for the right people. They say there is only one person to vote for so it's not really a democracy.

In China, they say you used our cheap labor to enrich yourselves and what have we gotten in return? I say you have a vibrant middle class that didn't exist before the US invested in your country.

Those debates are far more interesting than the childish rants I get here on SI which on the best of days are people who don't know anything about anything, repeat the party line verbatim and then claim they know the facts.

The US allows police officers to murder people in cold blood, have it recorded on cell phones and then still not be charged with crimes.

Google the Tamir Rice video and see what police do to children and then know they get away with it.
