TO: Wiz and ALL A lot of usefull info are being posted on this thread, but we are failing to figuere out the list of the stocks and or the sectors that will perform in 1998!! This will be the year of termoil and unstablity. Once Indonesia has been bailed out with 200 billion dollar Suharto and his cronies stole our the past 30 years, we will have another breif rally only to have Pakastani's, or Indians or Bengali's or Ilse of Bora-Bora (gg!) declare bankrupcy asking for "Baksish" from IMF! Under this scenerio, we, investors can not make any money this year in Asia sensetive stocks, Techs or non-techs! So, where should we invest our money! Buy more INTC, MSFT OR CPQ!! NO WAY! These stocks will not perfrom this year, I am afarid. Any ideas's? Kind regards, Yaacov p.s. I put the above question to an investment banker in Milan! He said: This year don't invest. Buy a bottle of Sassicaia ( a very rare red wine produced in very limited no.'s in Toscany!) every day and drink it! It is healthier! In the meanwhile I doublt if the stocks we are holding for the long term will perfrom.
