| | | Yes it should be, but it is very difficult to market your product if you don't have a plan in place. Otherwise the feedback can become rather difficult.
The following is a hypothetical conversation after AE knocks a presentation out of the park.
Do you mean you have a product that should be able to sell for $500 a kg netting you $300 a kg? And you can produce 100,000,000 kg's a year? When will this product come to market?
Answer - well right now we hope to get some funding from the government of Ontario so we can keep researching. Our first bench test two years ago was so promising that we have waited about two years before we did anything about it. It's hard to get research grants.
But, why don't you actually go raise money?
Well, all the money in stocks is going to POT and it seems like there is no compelling reason for investors to want to give us money.
Do they know the potential market?
Well, it is in black and white on this hard to find link on our web page. We are looking for superior investors.
If I wrote you a check how much would you need?
Well, probably around 8 million.
You mean if I wrote you a check for 8 million, a new catalytic technologically advanced product would come to market with a potential profit of $30 trillion a year. Where do I sign?
You need to slow down, first we have to drill some more, and get to a pre-feasibility study, and don't forgot a feasibility study and environmental study and some more testing. We have approached governments, but they just aren't giving us the money we need.
Well my company is going to write you a check, when would we start making money?
well first we have to finish a metallurgical study. Right now we have it costing $1,800 to process the ore to pure graphite per ton and an additional $12,000 to turn it into graphene. But we are trying not to waste money, so we have been spending a year trying to save an extra $1000 per ton.
How much are you selling a ton of your final product?
Well the US government says we could make about $300,000 per ton minus the cost of mining and processing?
You can take raw product and spend about $15K and turn it into $300K?
Yes, but with six months more testing we think we can get the cost of production down to maybe $14.5K. That $500 savings could be really significant for us. Can you give us the money then?
Why haven't you started working towards mine production and the studies?
Well, if we got going on them before the metallurgical study, it might cost us an extra $50K to complete and we don't won't to waste that kind of money. I mean even though we are spending $400K a year on salaries, that $50K savings for that extra year could come in handy.
Are there any other potential markets?
Oh there are and some could have much larger returns, but again when we are given money then we will get going on them. We have approached some chemical engineers at a few institutions and they are fascinated with how the solution used to exfoliate the graphene changes colour over time. We feel this could be an interesting development.
Why are you spending time on the colour of a solution when you have a viable business right now?
Oh I can't tell you that is all part of an NDA.
