For now those alternatives aren't available except in very few, limited areas. Cost is a consideration too - a 2nd line install charge plus monthly cost is small potatoes here in PacBell Land vs ISDN's installation charge plus monthly fee plus per minute charges. Some ISP's are cheap (relatively speaking) for ISDN for a single B channel but when you throw in a 2nd channel the story changes.

IF shotgun works and IF you've got clean copper to work with you MAY get over 100K service at a cost-effective rate.
