Ivan: GMTC went public first part of Dec 1997. When I stated that it cannot be short sold, I was refering to the public. All of us are the public.
I know Market Makers can short a stock, but they do not short a stock as we would. More of a borrowing shares from another market maker.
You did not mention, but investors on some Islands can Short any stock they wish.
The two above cases of short selling is on ANY stock, so it makes little differance to me. I would be more concered about the general public being able to Short Sell a stock, which they cannot currently to with GMTC after Fridays drop in price.

Not sure TA would do much good on a stock such as this. The time it has been available is a bit to short for TAing, IMO

This is seat of the pants flying here. Beleive it or not, TA does not hold all the answers. Their is MUCH more to investing then just TA.
On the other hand, I would HATE to not have TA as a tool!!!!
